After 15 years of building software—from mainframes to microservices—I’ve spent the last couple years deep in the trenches of AI-assisted development. Not the “let’s sprinkle some AI on it” kind, but actually figuring out how to make AI agents productive members of engineering teams.
What I Do
Agentic AI Integration — Getting AI agents to actually work in your codebase isn’t just about picking a tool and letting it loose. It’s about understanding where agents excel, where they fall flat, and how to structure your code, tests, and workflows so that AI assistance compounds over time instead of creating a mess.
Developer Workflow Optimization — I work with teams to identify where AI can genuinely accelerate development versus where it’s just adding noise. Sometimes the answer is “use the AI more.” Often it’s “use it differently.” Occasionally it’s “stop using it for this entirely.”
Training & Enablement — Getting developers comfortable with AI tools is one thing. Getting them to use those tools effectively is another. I help teams develop the instincts for when to lean on AI and when to think for themselves.
